QuickConvertify supports hundreds of focused file, data and media workflows. This guide explains the main format families you can work with, what conversion can preserve, and when a viewer or editor is a better choice than changing the file type.
PDF files
PDF is a fixed-layout document format used for sharing, printing and archiving. QuickConvertify provides PDF tools for conversion, page organization, merge, split, compression, annotation, forms, signatures, metadata, OCR and inspection. A PDF can contain text, raster images, vector artwork, links, form fields, attachments, annotations, encryption and digital signatures. Not every operation preserves every feature, so important output should be opened and compared with the original.
Image formats
The image tools cover JPG and JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, SVG and ICO workflows where the browser and bundled engines support the source. JPG is usually efficient for photographs, PNG is useful for lossless graphics and transparency, WebP and AVIF provide modern compression, SVG stores vector markup, and GIF can contain animation. Converting a lossy image into a lossless format cannot recreate detail already removed from the source.
Documents and ebooks
Supported document workflows include DOCX, TXT, HTML, Markdown, RTF, ODT and EPUB, plus conversions to or from PDF where a matching tool is available. Editable and fixed-layout formats represent content differently. Check headings, paragraphs, tables, lists, links, page breaks, fonts, embedded objects and special characters after conversion. Macros, complex charts, SmartArt, tracked changes and proprietary layout features can require native desktop software.
Spreadsheets and structured data
The spreadsheet and data tools work with CSV, TSV, XLSX, JSON, JSONL, XML, YAML, SQL and related table-oriented formats. CSV and TSV store flat rows, while JSON, XML and YAML can represent nested structures. Excel workbooks can also contain formulas, styles, multiple sheets, charts and macros. Data conversion should be verified for row counts, headers, delimiters, encoding, date formats, leading zeros, quoting and nested values.
Audio and video containers
Media filenames such as MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC do not fully describe the codec inside the file. Browser decoding and export depend on the container, codec, operating system and available device resources. Re-encoding can change file size and quality, while converting an already lossy source cannot restore missing detail. Preview the complete export and check duration, dimensions, frame rate, audio synchronization and playback compatibility.
Archives and inspection formats
File viewers can inspect supported ZIP, 7Z, RAR, document, ebook, font, code, log and binary formats without pretending to replace every native application. Archive viewers are intended for safe browsing and selected extraction. Password protection, unusual compression methods, very large entries or damaged archives can require specialist software.
Developer and web formats
The developer tools cover common code, markup, configuration, encoding and structured-data tasks. These include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, YAML, XML, SQL, GraphQL, Base64, URL encoding, hashes, JWT inspection and related utilities. Formatting or syntactic validation does not prove that code is secure, semantically correct or appropriate for production.
How to find an exact format tool
Open the complete online tools directory and search by a pair such as “PDF to Word,” an action such as “compress image,” or a format such as “CSV.” Every main tool page states the input, result, workflow and material limitations for that exact task.
